Always Need a Plan B

I'm dressed and ready to leave for my husband's funeral. What was supposed to be a graveside service had to be changed at the last moment due to the possibility of strong thunderstorms in the area. That is so Dave. He always had a contingency plan and was able to switch to it quickly if needed. Well played, Dave.

Jadyn and I have had a good morning. We laughed at Jadyn's completely innocent comment of "I can't wait to eat at Cotija's." So typical Jadyn. On the morning of his dad's funeral, he's thinking about food. Love that boy.

I have been on the phone texting as many people I could with the final update on Dave. That had become the typical me.

God in His sovereignty knew the best way for us to say goodbye to Dave...for now.
