Dr. Freaky Starchild's Balm O' Lip

If you know me, you may have a sneaking suspicion that I am a tab bit on the independent side. Ok, and yes, a bit stubborn. I decided to make my own lip balm. I had beeswax pellets, shea butter, and coconut oil at my house, so I put 3 tablespoons of each in a bowl and put it over a saucepan with water to make a little double boiler. When it melted, I spooned it into these little tins I had. It's a little bit harder than I want, so next time I will add a bit more coconut oil and a bit less beeswax pellets. But hey! It seems to work! And it doesn't burn my lips. I will try it over the next few days to put it through its paces, so to speak. So far, I am quite pleased with the balm and with myself.

Today was a much better day. It was actually a good voice day, too! My voice was stronger, and I could sing a little in the car. I didn't sing too much so I wouldn't overdo it. But I sang, and I was happy.
